Columbia Property Management is proud to announce that owner and senior property manager Scott Bloom has been appointed to serve for a second year on the Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS® Property Management Committee (GCAAR).

“I’m happy to serve on this committee which not only promotes professionalism in our local rental management market, but also is on the front-line of changes to our marketplace,” says Bloom. “I will seek to build visibility within GCAAR of rental managers as distinct from sales agents and brokers.”

The Property Management committee’s mission is to make a positive impression on the rental property community, and it comprises local leaders who review and make amendments to applicable GCAAR/DCAR property forms as well as reviewing and making recommendations to the Public Policy Committee on housing provider-tenant legislation. Moreover, the committee helps set the standard for best practices and protocols in the local property management space.
