My stay at a CPM managed house was really smooth: paying rent is easy, maintenance fixes are quick, and the property was in good shape. My rockier experiences with CPM were in the process of applying to the house and then in getting someone approved to replace me. My application process took about 2 weeks, and my replacement's was even longer. I understand the vetting process for tenants is important, but I really think a review of the process could be helpful. It feels unnecessarily long and burdensome. Showing potential and outgoing tenants more empathy and understanding on how stressful moves are and how much planning they entail--both in your communications and by having a quicker turnaround--could go a long way.

My overall experience with CPM is very satisfactory. The administrative and office management staff, especially Mila and Dominique, have been incredibly kind, helpful, patient, and flexible with myself and the other tenants. Moving/finding roommates is usually a stressful situation, but their support has oftentimes made all the difference. If something in the house requires maintenance, the Property Meld portal is very easy to use and CPM often contacts a vendor to fix it within a week. While communication with the admin and office management staff is excellent, communication with upper level management can be improved. It is understandable that upper level property managers, particularly Scott, are very busy, though it's been very hard to reach him regarding the actual signing of the lease renewal and communication regarding this has been poor, which adds stress to our experience as tenants. Over-communication about something as important as the signing the actual lease is critical, and even an email letting us know that there will be a delay would be appreciated.

Scott was extremely helpful and flexible working with us during COVID-19. He made the move in process safe and we felt like he really cared about our new home. Since then (about 1.5 months) the whole team has been very responsive and helpful. We love our new apartment and find the online portal to be super convenient. I don’t feel nickel and dime’d as I have with some others and the staff is friendly and super responsive. To a point where I tell them to take their time answering a question or something like that!
